Today (April 5) marks Britain's largest betting day as the 177th Randox Grand National is held at Aintree.

An impressive line-up of 34 horses will vie for a staggering £1million purse, with a cool £500,000 slated for the first to horse to gallop past the post in this globally celebrated steeplechase.

The annual sport of selecting the 4m2f winner resonates through homes nationwide. Lending a helping hand, ITV Sport's top presenters took to their official TikTok to disclose their chosen champion predictions.

Luke Harvey, ITV's horse racing expert, pitched his hopes on Beauport, asserting he 'liked his chances'. The charmed tipster endorsed: "He's had a really good season, and hopefully he'll win the national!"

Giving his view, analyst Kevin Blake selected Minella Cocooner as his steed to claim victory. He enthused: "I think he has a perfect profile for the race," adding with conviction: "He's been training for it all season, shaped beautifully last time. Minella Cocooner, Willy Mullins, Johnny Burke, get the job done."

Ex-jockey turned pundit Adele Mulrennan also threw her hat into the ring, trumpeting Hyland as her choice. "I absolutely love him and I think it's about time we had another grey horse win the Grand National," she declared.

Mulrennan further elaborated: "I still think he's on a workable mark, I thought he ran very well last time out in the Ladbrokes Chase, giving the win £22. I think he'll stay the trip and he won't mind the ground."

Broadcaster Matt Chapman has thrown his support behind last year's Grand National champion I Am Maximus for a repeat victory. He stated: "So impressive 12 months ago, I just think he can do it again, even though he's been hopeless in all his runs since."

Chapman also tipped Vanillier for the runner-up spot, asserting that the horse 'should have won the Cross Country and Cheltenham,' while placing Minella Cocooner in third, noting the horse 'loves good ground'. For fourth place, he selected Minella Indo, who finished third in the previous year.

Oli Bell joined in, also backing I Am Maximus and Minella Cocooner for success.
