A 17-year-old stabbed to death in west London on Saturday night has been named by the Metropolitan Police as Keiron Charles. Police were called at around 1.10am to reports of a stabbing near the junction of Erconwald Street, Du Cane Road, and Old Oak Common Lane, Shepherd's Bush. 

Officers, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, found two teenage boys who had suffered stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Keiron, from East Acton, tragically died at the scene. His family is being supported by specially trained officers. The second teenager, aged 16, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

After receiving treatment, he was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

A third teenager, also 16, fled the scene. An urgent search was launched, and he was arrested in the early hours of Sunday. He, too, remains in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila, who is leading the investigation, said: "This is an awful incident in which a teenager has lost his life.

"Our thoughts are with Keiron’s family and loved ones. We are working tirelessly to understand the full circumstances of what happened.”

While two arrests have been made, the investigation continues.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses who were in the area between 1pm and 1.20pm on Saturday.

They are also urging anyone with relevant CCTV, phone footage, or dashcam recordings to come forward.
