Prince William has been urged to bring his wife Princess Kate to an important event set to take place later this year. It was recently announced by Kensington Palace that The Prince of Wales, 42, will be visiting Brazil later this year for The Earthshot Prize 2025. Announcing the news on social media last week, William said: “Olá, Brasil! The Earthshot Prize is coming to Rio this November!"

The environmental prize, which was set up by the future King in 2020, aims to find and scale innovative solutions to address the world’s greatest environmental challenges. Five awards worth £1 million each are given out to winners in five different categories to expand their goals.

The rest of the exciting announcement on social media read: "Get ready for big announcements, inspiring stories, and 15 new incredible Finalists from around the world, all in the heart of Brazil. Surrounded by Rio’s beautiful landscapes and irresistible energy, we’re spotlighting changemakers where innovation and nature unite to regenerate our planet.”

Since the announcement was made, royal fans have celebrated the news, with many requesting that Prince William bring the Princess of Wales with him to Brazil at the end of the year.

One fan wrote on Instagram: “I’d love to see Princess Kate on the Green Carpet here in Brazil.” Another said: “Bring Princess Catherine with you, please.”

A third wrote: “That’s amazing! I hope the loved princess come too! She is wonderful.” A final agreed: “Bring on Kate!!!!”

The last Earthshot Prize awards were held in Cape Town last November.

Prince William made the visit alone as Princess Kate stayed in the UK with their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

It is not known whether The Princess of Wales, 43, will accompany her husband to the awards this year as she previously did in London and Boston.
