From the Cornish coast to the rolling hills of North Wales and all the way up to the Scottish Highlands, there’s no shortage of stunning locations when it comes to choosing a spot to set up camp in the UK.

Whether you’ve got your own van complete with a real bed or simply prefer to stick to a tent and sleeping bag, a trip to one of the UK’s many campsites is a family-friendly and often more affordable option for a getaway. One couple travelling the UK in their van have shared a campsite with “brilliant facilities” and “incredible views” that might want to consider for your next trip. Alex and his wife Jo are currently travelling across the country in their camper van “Lenny”, as they search for the UK’s best campsite with sea views.

In their most recent video posted to TikTok, where they run the page @life.in.lenny, Alex said: “I am not even joking when I say that I think I’ve found my new favourite place in the entire UK.”

On a trip to North Wales, the couple discovered the Porthdinllaen caravan and camping site. Located on the north coast of the scenic Llŷn Peninsula, the site is family and dog friendly, with space for caravans, motorhomes, camper vans and tents. The couple shared that they paid £72 for an electric hook up pitch for 2 adults and a dog on their visit.

Showing a clip of their idyllic camping spot overlooking the sunset on the peninsula, Alex said: “The best is still yet to come.” Situated on the “stunning” Nefyn Golf Club, the campsite is also a short walk away from the world-famous Ty Coch Inn, a traditional pub only accessible by foot.

Complete with a sandy beach on its doorstep, Ty Coch Inn was recently voted one of the top 10 beach pubs in the entire world and is easily accessible via the coastal path from the Porthdinllaen campsite.

Showing clips of the pub’s beer garden which doubles up as a stunning cove, Alex said “The sand is golden, the water is crystal clear and the beer tastes absolutely delicious.”

The couple booked their stay through the campsites Facebook page, which has all the relevant contact details. “We’ve had our eye on this spot for some it’s safe to say it did not disappoint. It’s somewhere we’ll 100% be heading back to in the near future.”
