Prince Harry will appear at the High Court again today after claiming he had been "singled out for different, unjustified and inferior treatment." The Duke of Sussex is in the UK to attend court over his security arrangements after challenging whether he should receive taxpayer-funded protection.

The 40-year-old royal is seeking to overturn the February 2020 decision of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) that he should receive a different degree of taxpayer-funded protection when in the UK. The Court of Appeal ruled that part of the hearing would be private. Written submissions from the prince's legal team said Ravec had failed to assess the threat level posed to the royal adequately.

It was claimed by his security team that “Al-Qaeda recently called for [Harry] to be murdered” in a document, saying his “assassination would please the Muslim community”.

Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Justice Bean, and Lord Justice Edis said that the parties' opening submissions and arguments related to "non-confidential facts" will be held in open court, which the press and the public can attend. However, some of Wednesday's evidence will be privately heard over security concerns.
