During a cabinet meeting on Monday, Donald Trump made an alarming gaffe, revealing he was "activated last week".

The President experienced an embarrassing moment when Putin had him waiting before their phone call. Despite this, Trump has consistently criticised Ukraine and unabashedly supported Russia in the ongoing conflict.

A past Soviet intelligence officer claimed that Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987 with the codename 'Krasnov'. His peculiar use of the term 'activation' has sparked speculation about the possibility of truth to these allegations.

Trump, known for his close relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, was offering a glowing tribute to Elon Musk when he unexpectedly mentioned 'activation', a term typically linked with covert Russian operatives.

While commending Musk for contributing to his administration, Trump remarked that Musk "has never asked for anything.", reports the Irish Star.

"He has never asked me for a thing. He could have. I always say, 'I wonder if he is ever going to ask me for something?'."

Trump expressed gratitude towards Musk for his support, even as Tesla dealerships face hostility, noting: "I did get activated last week when I saw what they were doing," and declared his intention to speak out against attacks on Tesla by saying, "I said he makes an incredible product and we're going to go out and tell people you can't do that stuff."

This linguistic slip went largely unnoticed, but it left a few attentive viewers in shock over his choice of words.

One individual took to Twitter, sharing their disbelief: "Did Donald Trump just see the quiet part out loud? At this press conference. He got activated last week.

"IN THE CABINET MEETING TODAY TRUMP SAID HE WAS "ACTIVATED"," another person added.

The situation was further intensified by Trump's admission that his cabinet may have been 'influenced' by Russian information.

A journalist queried: "Zelensky says he believes some members of your team has been influenced by Russian information. What do you say?".

To which Trump responded: "Well probably they have been influenced to get this thing settled. Ukraine wants to see it settled, Russia wants to see it settled."

When questioned about whether Russia would return abducted children to Ukraine, Trump conceded: "It is one of the things that we're talking about. No decision has been made."

This follows a former Soviet intelligence officer suggesting that Trump could be a Kremlin spy.

The explosive claim was made by Alnur Mussayev, an ex-chief of Kazakh intelligence, in a Facebook post.

The 71 year old, who once led Kazakhstan's National Security Committee, stated he had served in the 6th Directorate of the KGB in Moscow, responsible for counter-intelligence support within the economy.

One of the directorate's main goals, he alleged, was "recruiting businessmen from capitalist countries.

"In 1987, our directorate recruited Donald Trump under the pseudonym Krasnov," he penned.

While Mussayev's post lacked any evidence to back up his assertion, he made another startling accusation in a subsequent comment.

"Today, the personal file of resident 'Krasnov' has been removed from the FSB. It is being privately managed by one of Putin's close associates," he alleged.
